And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. - Anais Nin

Dr. John Beradino, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, offers therapy services for people hoping to explore and uncover the hidden potential behind life's problems. John views people through the lens of their ability to transform a static life-issue into a budding life-changing experience. He specializes in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship problems, and grief counseling. He will collaborate with you to create a treatment plan in-line with both short & long-term goals according to your expectations, while highlighting any obstacles that undermine your motivation.

John is an easy-going and compassionate person who respects the sensitive nature of therapy and the challenges of discussing painful life events. He believes in working with the entire person, not merely the problem that brings you into therapy. The therapeutic experience is more than just treating symptoms and disorders. It is a life-enhancing participation in self-understanding, self-realization, self-compassion, and healing. It is an exploration and discovery of your emerging authentic self that is to be celebrated and enjoyed.

Since 2007, John has worked extensivley with all types of mental health issues. His training and research has been primarily with Post Traumatic Stress - both Military and Civilian - combat, natural disasters, and childhood abuse. He treats all age ranges (elderly, adults, and adolescents).

It takes a tremendous amount of courage to enter therapy. Perhaps, there might be feelings of uncertainty, fear, and ambivalence about opening up. John is determined to provide you with a safe space in which you can ventilate your feelings, address specific goals, and achieve the potential that remains hidden beneath your pain.

When I treat you as though YOU ARE what you are capable of becoming, then I help you become that. – Goethe

Sharing your deepest personal feelings and thoughts in therapy can be incredibly scary, leaving one feeling vulnerable and exposed. John respects and supports the brave determination that it takes to invest in the psychological transition from one phase of life to another. He looks forward to drawing out the potential within you and working towards your transformation and search for wholeness.
